It’s a good day to be a Witcher fan. The first images of Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher series are here.
The series’ showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has revealed the first official images on her Twitter. We get our first look at what Henry Cavill will look like as Geralt of Rivia, and it’s a massive improvement over the teaser shown in October last year by Netflix.
We’re also seeing the first images of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Freya Allan as Ciri.
The Netflix series will adapt the fantasy book series written by Andrzej Sapkowski, which of course also inspired the critically acclaimed games by CD Projekt RED. Important to note for anyone who is comparing Geralt to his digitized self from The Witcher 3: as the Netflix series is based on the books, Geralt does not have a beard, neither does he carry two swords at all times. That being said, enjoy these final images, which where also released.
