Riot has announced its first animated series, Arcane, during the celebration of its 10th anniversary last 2019. It was expected to release in 2020. Unfortunately, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has delayed its launch until 2021.

Now, the show’s release is just on the horizon. Riot has launched a new project called RiotX Arcane, where all of the company’s titles crossover to celebrate the upcoming series. Additionally, Reddit has also partnered with Riot Games to help the promotion of Arcane. Redditors can now use Jinx and Vi, two of the main characters of the animated series, as their avatars on the website. Currently, users change their avatars by accessing the avatar builder in their profiles. These are available globally, and the social media platform will also add more as the show progresses and more characters get introduced.

There may be eleven possible avatars, as you can see in a tweet by Reddit last November 1:

It is exhilarating to know that this will be the first Reddit avatar partnership with another company. And I hope that there will be more to come in the future. But as a League of Legends fan myself, let’s be happy and celebrate the latest project of Riot Games in the meantime.

You can watch Arcane on Netflix this coming November 6, 2021. Two additional episodes will also be released every week, on November 13 and 20 specifically.
